Upgrade your technique, discover your better form.
It's about focusing on the things that matter every time you ride.
I'ts about learning the 5 skills and riding with Forward Motion.
We call it FM5. Riders using Forward Motion are not 10x stronger, 10x more experienced or 10x more flexible. It has nothing to do with genetic capacity or training status and it doesn't take years of extra hard work. It's got everything to do with five skills that make you more "aware" of how to ride a bike with maximum Forward Motion.
The five skills that Forward Motion cycling focus' on are:
1. DECOMPRESS YOUR SPINE
Forward Motion has a compelling answer to the question," How do you sit on a bike?". If you don't know how to sit on a bike it's time to learn because you're missing out!
2. ANCHOR YOUR CONNECTIONS
Forward Motion riders know how to anchor to their bikes correctly. Anchoring makes for a better connection, better equipment selection and more supportive riding.
3. IMPROVE YOUR BREATHING
We breathe on average more than 20,000 times each day. Most riders are unaware of how to breathe properly which limites performance. Riders using Forward Motion turn breathing into a central skill.
4. BALANCED PEDAL TECHNIQUE
Forward Motion riders develop more than the ability to push on the pedals. If you are applying peak loads to the bike, then the bike is applying peak loads to your body. It's time to change and share the loading.
5. TRANSFER MORE POWER
When it comes to power transfer, you put nearly all of it through your feet. Forward Motion riders improve their foot function and strength to increase power transfer and alignment.
If you look, you will find we have applied this approach to help many cyclists and triathletes develop, many into world-class performers. We have also helped amateur athletes and fitness enthusiasts perform better and recover from injury.
